The Grand Mercure Puka Park Resort has 48 Chalets set in their own private haven nestled amongst native bush surroundings.
The Standard Chalets are a one-roomed chalet with a separate bathroom built adjoining in pairs with their own private balcony. These chalets were refurbished in late 1998 in luxurious navy, yellow, charcoal and wooden hues. The extended and newly tiled bathrooms have an enlarged shower unit, with no bathtub.
The Superior Bush Chalets are larger and the bathrooms have a separate bath and shower. These chalets have a bright and airy summer cottage design. The superior chalets are also built in pairs with private balconies, and have interconnecting doors.
The Executive Suites are stand-alone chalets with a separate bedroom and lounge-dining area with their own private balconies. These were also refurbished in late 1998, with the same luxurious hues as the standard chalets. The bathrooms also have a large shower unit, with no bathtub.
The Royal Puka Suite is a free-standing two-levelled luxury three-bedroom chalet. The ground floor comprises of one king/twin bedroom with a separate bathroom and a large, roomy lounge/dining area with luxurious furniture, television, kitchenette with crockery, cutlery, microwave and minibar. An extensive balcony leads off from the lounge featuring a wooden table and deck chairs. Upstairs on the first level is the master bedroom and a third king/twin bedroom. These two rooms share a bathroom.
The main lodge, separate from the resorts chalets, warmly invites guests to join in and relax in the intimate lounge. They can enjoy the ocean views from the balcony or on cooler nights, the open log fire, restaurant and bar.
