Hosts Christine and Rod Brown have drawn inspiration from their wonderful travel experiences in Europe to create the perfect retreat for overnight, weekend or longer stays in this architecturally designed home set in a tranquil hectare of citrus orchard and sub-tropical garden.
Christine has designed each room with great flair - in one, an antique French bed and furniture, a Victorian brass bed in another and a semi-detached self-contained suite with a South Pacific theme. All have luxurious ensuites.
Bountiful breakfasts are served in the dining room or on the sunny patio overlooking the sub-tropical garden and pond and may include home made bread, croissants, fresh or poached fruits, frittata, kumara and corn fritters with spiced mandarins and many other choices. Picnic hampers are available on request.
Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands are well known for their historic sites, splendid beaches, native forests and spectacular scenery and there are vineyards, cafés, galleries and craft shops to visit. Guests can do as much or as little as they please.
